Volvo Repair: 240 a/c heater fan, fuse panel, florida southwest

Question
Have an '85 245. A/C works ok - compressor kicks on and blows cold when fan works. Fan motor works sometimes, sometimes not. When it works, it blows fine having no unusual noises, etc. Read something about a possible relay problem.   Asked Vedat but was outside of his expertise.  Any ideas? Thanks!

there is no relay for the blower motor.it could almost be anything.I have not seen a 240 blower work intermitenly.usually they stop completely or get noisey.sometimes they will only work on a higher speed and not low speeds when they go bad.I would check the fuse for signs of corrosion at the ends of the fuse where it fits into the fuse panel.other than this it would need to be fault traced with a test light when it was not working to determine the exact problem.
