Volvo Repair: 85 240 stalling, jonathan jackson, tank fuel

My 85' volvo dl240 wagon started stalling on me a few months ago. When it happens I feel a loss of power and the car is unresponsive to giving it gas, it then stalls fully. Then it starts back up and drives fine as long as you wait about a minute to start it back up. Now when this started it would happen about once a week, but now it could happen as many times as 5-10 times a day. What do you think is the problem?

it could really be many things.it could be a bad in tank fuel pump causing main pump to overheat or could be bad main pump when hot it starts to fail.could also be something loke an air mass meter.it would need to have fuel pressure guages hooked up to it and see if the pressure drops when it starts to run poorly.
