Volvo Repair: 740 Possible Head Problem??, true work horse, dishwashing detergent

Question
About a year ago I picked up a 1990 740 for a great price from our mechanic. The previous owner had blown the head, our mechanic had it remilled and sold it to me for a little over what it cost him for the repairs. The car has been GREAT, it's a true work horse of a vehicle, runs great, I do about 100 miles a day for work on it and it's got 245000 miles on it. (I just hit 245000 on 2/4/04) However, recently I went to check my fluids and I noticed that the coolant had some brown mud in it. The oil is clean as a whistle so they aren't mixing. From talking to others and my mechanic It's believed that there could have been residual crud in the radiator from the blown head. The car has run great with no issues, If I hadn't checked the fluids I wouldn't have known there was an issue. no over heating, engine doesn't smell, etc. Do you think the head has gone again or is it really just junk left over? I'd hate to admit defeat and loose the car, having to get the head replaced would be too much at this point for me. It's been a faithful friend for a year now and is one of the best cars I've ever owned. I'm going to flush and refill the radiator this weekend and keep an eye on the coolant but any recommendations you may have would be most welcome. Thank you for your time.

Answer
sorry for late response had computer trouble could not get on to answer questionsit could be from the previous repair.I would drain the fluid then ill with water and some dishwashing detergent.then run the car to cycle the fluid and then flush the fluid out and then refill with 50/50 coolant wter mix.if it is not overheating I would not worry too much.
