BMW: Changing transmissions, m3 smg, corvette z06

Very impressed with the quick answer.  The present car is automatic because I am a right arm amputee.  I am contemplating giving it to my son who would like the stick shift.  I am moving to an M3 SMG.

 Hope I didn't offend you by my previous comments, none was intended.  There's a really fast guy who races at our BMWCCA track days who is a paraplegic.  He has a great time and he beats the daylights out of his car... good stuff!

 So it looks as if your son will have a nice track car once you get it swapped over.  Shouldn't be too bad, just take your time and dont forget anything.

 So your getting the SMG huh?  Are you going to leave it in Auto, or adapt the shifting so you can shift with your left hand?  There were a few of them at our last track day, and the FLY.  The only thing that could come CLOSE to catching them were the Corvette Z06's out there.
