Buick/Olds: Dirty power steering fluid, power steering fluid, power steering pump

Hi, I have a 95 Olds 98 3.8L engines. The power steering fluid is BLACK! I sucked the old fluid out and kept changing new fluid, hopefully it would get better. It is still BLACK after few days driving. Please let me know what the cause is and how to solve it. Thank you very much.

There are a number of reasons for the fluid to be black, there may be a coroded hose that is thinning and needs to be replaced, your fluid itself may be too old. When you put in new fluid, did you drain the fluid completely by removing the hose connections and draining the power steering pump? It sounds most likely that the fluid is old and contaminateed by a bad hose, when water is introduced to the mixture it can make it black too depanding on the brand of fluid. There could be a water leak. If you're not sure what to look for or how to change your fluid completely, then I would recommend getting it to a service centre soon
