Buick/Olds: Fuel system Pressure/ Idler arm installation, buick roadmaster, 1993 buick roadmaster

Question
Good morning.  I have an 1993 Buick Roadmaster
5.7 liter V8.  I suspect I have have pressuer problem with the fuel system.  My idle flutter at low speeds, i.e coming to stops, turning corners.
How can I check the pressure...also any other advise on the matter as to what it may be.

2nd question.  My Right idler arm needs replacement. I pretty good with tools.  Any reason why I should not take it on myself.  Does the wheel need to be elevated on a jack?

thanks

Larry

Answer
I dont remember for sure but there could be a fuel pressure tap on one of the fuel lines or the rail. Not exactly sure of the pressure specs(haven't worked on one of these in years) but it should be around 35-40 psi.
There is no reason that you shouldnt be able to replace the idler arm yourself. You dont really need to jack the car up but it makes it alot easier to get to. You will need to get an alignment after you replace it.
