QuestionI inherited this car from my grandarents. There is a considerable amount of heat coming through the firewall at my feet as if the heater is constantly on, but with no indication on the system. I read one of your other answers, and wrote down the codes in my system in case it might help. With the engine off, I pressed the OFF and WARMER button, the display reads...either 08 or 88 (the middle line in the first digit does not dislay), 30, 44, 08/88, 30, 44, 08/88, 70. Any idea if there is an issue with the AC/heater system or could it be another issue? Any information would be helpful, thanks.
AnswertHE first THING YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE TO DO IS REPLACE THAT DISPLAY, bECAUSE IT SHOULD BE 88 AND NOT 80. tHE 30 COULD BE A 38.
nOT KNOWING IF YOU HAVE A 30 OR 38 MAKES A huge DIFFERENCE IN WHICH SENSOR IS AT FAULT.
question: DOES THE GAS PEDDLE MAKE A BOUNCE BACK AND FORTH OR CAN YOU HEAR A RATCHETING SOUND FROM UNDER THE HOOD ?.
