QuestionI have a 1995 Cadillac deville and I have trouble code and want to know how serious they are, P030 P039,P052, P098. My care runs fine but the burns gas a lot but the mpg reads 18.5. Can someone help.
AnswerP030 = Idle speed control problem.
P039 = Torque converter cluch problem (faulty solenoid in the transmission.
P052 = Battery was disconnected recently.
P098 = High RPM from Park to neutral and drive to reverse.
FIRST, Clear out all the codes from the computer and see which codes return after you drive the car for 2 or 3 miles at speeds over 55.
