HELLO TOM,
      I RECENTLY PURCHASED A 85 CADILLAC FLEETWOOD BROUGHAM D'ELEGANCE 4.1 AND AFTER A FEW WEEKS OF DRIVING THE SERVICE SOON LIGHT CAME ON. IVE NOTICED THAT THE CAR WILL NOT TAKE OFF WHEN THE GAS PEDEL IS PRESSED. THE CAR RUNS FINE OTHER THAN THAT. I'VE CHECKED THE ERROR CODES AND ONLY ONE COME OUT WHICH IS 34. CAN YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT THIS ERROR CODE MEANS OR WHAT COULD CAUSE THE CAR TO HESITATE WHEN I FLOOR IT. THANKS

E34 is a fault of the Manifold absolute pressure sensor (MAP) which needs to be tested to see if it is the fault of the sensor or the wiring or the computer. I can e-mail you pictures and directives for you to perform if you are fairly mechanically inclined to fix the vehicle.
