I have a1992 Cadillac Deville. All of a sudden all sorts of problems have developed.It has the 4.9 engine.The check engine light stays on.The transmission acts like it won;t shift into low gear but low works fine when shifted manually.It has started dying at regular intervals.We did as you said and got the codes.I appreciate that info very much.The codes are as follows:..E,E44,E52,EE,E40,..F,E48,.7.o I hope you can help.This is driving me crazy.I'm a fair mechanic but these computerized cars are beyond me.Thank you for your time and help.Chuck Kruse

OK, Let's erase the codes and see which ones come back.

Enter into your diagnostics and after the codes display you will see .7.0

Push and hold the OFF and HI buttons until you see E.0.0 and release the buttons and you will see .7.0 again.

Push and hold the OFF and LO buttons until you see F.0.0 and release the buttons.

Turn the ignition OFF.

Wait 2 minutes and restart and drive if you can the vehicle and see if the check engine light appears again.

If it does. Get me the new codes that appear.
