Cadillac: service ride control, air ride suspension, showroom condition

Question
Hi Tom
I just bought a 1995 Deville from an eldery person, its showroom condition and i just love the ride...
My mechanic whom certified the cady is not a Cady specialist, and said the dash flashing SERVICE RIDE CONTROL has to do with adjusting the suspension ?...I really got the feeling he did not know what he is talking about...is this something that i should be seeing a cady dealer only ? is some really bad happening here
Regards

Answer
It depends upon how experienced your mechanic is with air ride suspension.

It may be simply a cracked air line that runms to the air ride suspension components or a problem with the HEIGHT SENSOR.

I don't forsee any MAJOR problems but again it depends upon his skill level in order to check all the air lines and test the sensor.
