1992 Cadiliac Deville,4.9L engine,210,000 miles. Oxygen sensor, EGR valve and EGR sensor replaced 3/8/06. Check engine light is on and the fault code is 85.  Engine stalls (acts like its not getting gas when a load is put on it like going up a hill) I first thought I had gotten some gas with water in it.  I could stop and fill it up and it seem to be ok but this week end we took a trip and the problem became more apparent. Note: outside temp was high and this time when I filled up the same problem existed.  We stopped for dinner and when we came out the car ran fine for the next 100 miles to our home however the temp had dropped to 80F.  Could the temp or stopping for some time have anything to do with the problem.

Thanks,

Elmer

Answer -
The IDLE throttle angle is to high. Try CLEARING the code from the computer and see if it returns FIRST.

Answer
The THROTTLE BODY needs to be serviced.
