Cadillac: electrical, negative battery cable, amp meter

cadillac concours deville 98. the battery dies every couple of days, and the alarm goes off every now and then when the ignition key is put in the on position from the off position. i replaced the regulator in the alternator. still does the same thing. please help me figure out this problem

You need to install an AMP METER between the negative battery post and the negative battery cable and see how many amps the vehicle is drawing when you have everything off, As if you were parking it for the night.

Maximum draw is 1/2 amp.
