Question
how to remove and replace u-joint on the 4x4 driveshaft.it only has 1 u-joint on  the front and a knuclke at the back of the shaft-has bad vibration-I replaced all brakes, rotors, tires ft left hand hub and bearingand front tie rods

Answer
Is the vibration when sitting and reving the motor?  or when moving?  Do you feel it in the steering wheel or the seat.

Could be bad torque converter.  Could be driveshaft.

YOu want to unscrew the end at the axle.  then use a pry bar or big screw driver and pry the drive shaft from the axle.  then if you dont see the other end screwed onto the transfer case, then pull the drive shaft out of the transfercase.  should slide right out.  A little fluid will come out. not much.  not to worry.  Unless the truck is tipped in a way that more will spill out.

Now take the driveshaft to a bench vise.  Use a push piece (an old socket slightly smaller than the cap of the u-joint on one end and a large one bigger than the cap on the other.  First remove any clips or half moons that lock the caps in place.  Then set the vise up to push the caps out of their seat and into the bigger socket.  Install without using the sockets.  Pinch the caps into place using the vise.
