Cadillac: AC problem 1990 Cadillac Seville, 1990 cadillac seville, cadillac seville

Question
The AC went out on my 1990 Cadillac Seville.  The mechanic determined through the dye test that there was a leak that required the compressor, evaporator, and some type of valve to be replaced.  After all this was done, the "service AC soon"  message came on which then went to the "AC coolant low" and then the "AC off" light came on.  The mechanic checked again and there are no leaks.  I have all these new parts which cost a small fortune not including all the labor costs and still do not have a working system.  Suggestions?  Thanks so much.  Betty Miller

Answer
It would appear that your mechanic did NOT do his job or he is not familiar with working on Cadillac A/C systems.

You have 2 choices, Take it back and make him fix it RIGHT or suffer the loss and hope you learned a valuable lesson that you should NEVER take your vehicle to ANYONE who is NOT familiar with your type of vehicle.
