Cadillac: slop or play in drivetrain, deville dts, cadillac deville

I have a 2004 cadillac deville DTS with 7200 miles on it. When you let off the gas for at least 2 seconds and then hit the gas you feel a bump. It seems to be play or "slop" in the drivetrain. I took it to the dealer and they said it is normal!! I don't buy it!! I've never had or driven a vehicle of any kind and had that kind of play in the drivetrain. If you put it in 3rd gear it's more amplified. 2nd gear even more so.
Help!

Unfortunately you had better get used to it as it is normal to have play in the drive train.

however, Since I can't obviously drive the vehicle personally to actually feel how much play there is, Your only other option is to take another identical vehicle for a test drive and see if it does the same thing.
