Chevrolet: LT4 HOT CAM, lt4 hot cam, cam specs

I HAVE A 350 VORTEC WITH A LT4 HOT CAM AND I CANT SEEM TO GET THE RIGHT TIMING I NEED TO KNOW WHAT INEED TO SET IT RIGHT BEFORE WITH OUT THE CAM IT RAN A 8.9 AND AFTER IT RAN 9.4 AT THE 8TH MILE SO WHAT DO I SET IT AT EVERYTHING ELSE IS AT ITS BEST ITS SEEMS TO BE SOMETHING WITH THE VALVETRAIN AND THE CAM DIDNT COME WITH ANY SPECS

hi-well set the trimming at 8 and if you do not know what to set the valves at and if they are solids you are in trouble. if they are hydraulic. you just loosen the rocker till it clacks than turn it back in apx. 3/4 of a turn NO MORE than that it might try to stall so go real slow and if it gets real rough go to 1/2 a turn in place of 3/4 . you got to find the cam specs.thats like the heart of the motor
