Chevrolet: 96 Camaro starts and then dies, camaro z28, fuel stabilizer

Question
Hello. I have a 1996 Camaro Z28 with 33,000 miles. I had the Body Control Module computer replaced and then put on about 2,000 miles. Now I have a new problem. It starts and then dies after 6-8 seconds. While it's running it's smooth with no tailpipe smoke. I thought it might have water in the fuel line but I have been able to run it enough so that should be flushed out. The charger system seems to work ok. Could the fuel filter be plugged? It sits a lot during the winter so could sludge build up during that time? If so, where is the fuel filter? I can't find it. Thanks for any help you can pass along.

Answer
Did you put fuel stabilizer in the tank and fill the tank right up with gas before storage? If not, you have water in your tank.

The fuel filter is behind the driver's side rear wheel. Just ahead of it actually. Change the filter every spring AFTER you get rid of the winter gas.
