Chevrolet: water temperture gauge, water temp gauge, conversion van

I ahve a 1993 Chevy G-20 conversion van and the water temp gauge has stopped working, could you tell me where to start looking in order to correct this problem?

 Hi - I would first look to see if there is any fuses blown , it might just be a fuse. than I would replace the sending unit for the water temp gauge. it is in the water jacket or intake ,  and it could be the gauge but I would first check the above  ok.
also look for any un-pluged wires too....>>>
