Chevrolet: Gas in crankcase, chevy 350, gas hose

Question
Hi Roger,
I'm working on a engine for a friend(1972 Chevy 350) and we drained the oil and there was about 12-13 Quarts of oil-gas mix.  I was readding a diffrent form and saw something about the fuel pump.  This does not have a elec. fuel pump.  You said to put a elec. fuel pump in.  Would you run a wire that is only hot in run to it and do they ground to the block?  He has a long block coming for it, and I don't want to put it together and have the same problem.  Any help would be great. Thanks,
Dave

Hi; I would say that the pump must be leaking into the oil pan. . I would mount the pump in the trunk and ground to the frame,Run the hot wire to the fuse that is on )only) when the key is in the on position. you can also put a in line on/off switch for safty. And get a pressure regulator for it also.
place a block off plate where the old pump would go.
I would also use braided lines or what ever it tells you to use, do NOT use rubber gas hose, it is illegal , and dangerous...
