My ETS Off light and Check engine light just came on out of nowhere, do i bring it to the shop, can you help this little canadian?

HI ; well if it came on than there is something wrong - but it can be as simple as the gas cap is on wrong / or it might go out in a day or so  , if not than I would have it checked , it might be a simple thing so if it will not go out in a few days I would have it looked at.  ok
