Chevrolet: cooling system, chevy cavalier, temp gauge

Question
i have an newer chevy cavalier. i just need to know how to bled the system. i had a water pump replaced and the temp gauge has been reading a little high. i read on another site that the system probubly has to be bled because i had been losing antifreeze before it was repaired and also my mechanic had drained it. i am hoping that possibly this would be somthing simple that i could do to save some money.
thanks in advance for your help and your time

Hi , all you should have to do is check the coolent level
if the water pump was replaced it should be good, if it is running hot I would take it rigfht back. but you can check the coolent and fill it ,  as far as bleeding it -you mean to get any air out right, if the guy did the job right it should be fine but the coolent might be low.so add some coolent if needed.  ok
