Chevrolet: follw up to a previously asked question, crankshaft position sensor, crank sensor

1991 chev corsica 3.1 ltr.. 6 cyl..automatic     Dear harold..approx. 2 weeks ago i gave you sympthoms of this car as basically stalling when warmed up & not re-starting for some period of time ...you suggested a crankshaft position sensor...but mechanic says there's been a recent one installed...so is there anything else it could be..if you need more info...please let me know..thx so much...sincerely , clint          (p.s.) in case you don't recall..we did try computers...coils..modules (unsuccessful..of course)

Yes, I do remember your car. The main things that cause your problem are the crank sensor, ignition module, coils, and the ECM and you said you tried them all.It could also be a fuel pump binding. What needs to be done is the tech needs to let the car run until it dies and then check it right away to see if it is loosing spark or fuel or both. Then go from there. I have also had the wiring harness from the crank sensor to the module fail due to heat because it was soaked with oil leaking from the intake gaskets.
