Chevrolet: my computer, haynes book, chevy cavalier

Hi again

Im just wondering if you can tell me where my Computer is located in my 1996 chevy cavalier, The Haynes book is pretty Vague on the description, and id rather hear it from someone that knows, The code reader keeps coming up with an error, so that leads me to believe that either the computer is faulty or the connection isnt very good?  can you help me?

   I do not know about a short doing it,  does it give a code or just error.  as far as the computer itslelf , Im not shure on that mod. but it should be in with all of the eletc.  and relays under the hood on the driver side . it will have the large harness going into it.I stick with the older cars , as stated , I hope that I helped any ways ok
