Chevrolet: 2002 malibu random misfire/ egr, egr valve, convertor

The check engine light keeps coming on first was random misfire on code reader now is random misfire and egr. I think that the cat may be clogged. But where would the egr valve be so i can clean it. I have no power and the rpms are very restricted.

  HI - have you put it on a computer to see what codes come up ? it might be a simple thing . have you checked the  map sensor ? as far as the convertor there is a plug in it that can be removed but I do not think it is bad. it would have to be really bad to keep the car from running.
