my feul pump went out yesterday, i kicked the tank a couple times to shock the pump. I got it started and drove it home. today i am going to change it . I know i need to drop the tank but i hav'nt worked on chevys very much , mainly imports. is there anything special that i need to know ? any special tricks ? please let me know any do's and don'ts that you know and what the best way to go about doing this is. please let me know a.s.a.p. thank you very much.

      Hi- first have the tank empty of gas.  You should have a floor jack as you might have to jack it down its heavy , and you can drive up on ramps or jack the truck up. the best thing is to spray up all of the nuts / bolts and straps on the tank with rust solvent- lqd. wrench, get new straps if they look bad.just spray everything good.you should have no trouble.
