Chevrolet: GM passlock - 2001 Impala, gm passlock, gm service

Question
Roger, I have problems with the passlock feature of my 2001 Impala, disabling the car from starting. However, the system appears to reset itself so by the time I get the car towed to the dealer, the car will start. Of course the dealer can't fix what they can't find. I have done some searching of several other sites and have found anything found replacing major components, to bypass modules and including a GM service bulletin (UI Bulletin #26)which is intended for remote starters, but is being refered to as a way to cut out the Passlock completely. Right now I am taking a simpler approach.
I have had several other keys on the key FOB and this may be the problem. The security light would come on while I am driving, keys swaying. Could this movement be causing  lock cylinder ware? and thinking the wrong key is in the lock. I am trying this out. I removed all the other keys.
What do you think, David

Answer
Dave;
  I have the largest key fob , it has can openers , knifes,screw driver keys , lazer sight,flash light and lots more,   if it was going to make anything wear  it should have done so to me by now.
Could the remote for the alaram system be getting pushed some how ? I would first off replace the battery in it. as that alone can do it. And was there any thing added or put on the car or anything eletc. worked on or were you hit?
You can try it with the keys off the fob. anything  is possible , change the batt. also.
