Chevrolet: motors, bolt mains, intake cam

In lay terms, can you tell me the pros/cons of a : "383 stroker"?

         The stroker is a small block 350  cu.in size w/4 bolt mains -bored out, the crank-pistons-rods-heads-intake-cam  most all parts are changed, as far as a street use car I would not use it due to fuel and power , it will or should have at least 400++ and up  horse power . it is a great performance motor. it should be maintained at all times - I would not recomend it for  a weekend fixer upper.
