Chevrolet: 1999 v-6 chevy camaro, chevy camaro, altenator

Question
i havebeen having toulble with my car starting. I have to get a jump the battery is fine and so is the altenator. The only thing I see different is the security light comes on and stays on for a long time. Could something be wrong with that?

Hi Jackie;
         I do not get into the newer cars as I have down  1955 thru 1975s  but it sounds as it might be a computor problem . not that it is bad but it might have to be checked and see what codes it is putting out as the engine  might need a new sensor  or re-adj. as now the new cars will not start when some items go bad or if they need cleaning  or replacement.
