Chevrolet: 1995 Lumina LS Brake lights + ignition switch, turn signal switch, steering wheel

Question
"Blinking brake lights" problem also here. It's in turn signal switch, not in lights. You can test it by moving the stick, when braking. If lights go on and off, problem is definitely in the switch.

I also have problem with starting (wont run the start motor or solenoid). Solenoid does not get any current and propably the problem is in ignition switch. How can I open the wheel cover and do I need some special tools for this?

I'm going to put power stright from the battery to solenoid to start the engine, before I get the new switch. Also going to change the turn signal swith at the same time. How long time can this take?

Thanks for the answer in advance.

Answer
Hi Juha;
      It sounds as if you need a new sig. switch. also the ing. switch. if you are not getting juice to the solenoid and the battery wires are good than its in the switch. and yes you will have to have a wheel puller to remove the steering wheel. and with all the right tools and parts it should not take long at all , a few hours if no problums.
