I just installed a new set of heads on my 350 chevy. dart iron eagle ss. 67 cc combustion chamber. The car runs great. But at Idle I have a chirping sqeaking noise that is very irratable. I rev the motor up and it goes away. Ive double checked my valve adjustment,and my exhaust gaskets. I cant figure out where it is coming from. Would you have any suggestions. Thanks Rick   P.S Like I said the car runs real good no missing at all and no noise after idle

Hea Rick;
        Did you check the belts, and the alt. bearing.or power sterg.pump bearg. or is it just a vacume sucking noise.OK
Roger      Yes I checked all that to. Tonight I was out playing with it thought maybe a bent push rod nope not that neither. But the one thing that I noticed is the # 8 exhaust pushrod had water drops on it. That is where the chirp is coming from. So I checked my oil no water in it. Checked my radiator and no oil in it. Is it possible that the chirp is a head leak? Possible the gasket didnt seal all the way?  And if so why does the car run so good.   Thanks Rick

Hea  Rick;
       I now wonder what it could be, as water is bad,
so I would keep a eye on it and the oil, also did you look at the rockers and valve springs . I would do a comp. test on that cyld.  with the bad rod to see what psi. you have in it. ok.
Roger     Hi Roger, Did as you suggested. did a complete compression check. 130 in all cylinders. Long duration cam. Could it be some kind of exhaust leak? My cousin a mechanic also is clueless. Any other suggestions?  Thanks Rick

Answer
Hea Rick,
      Ok did you look at other things, like the rear motor mount or as you said it could come from a ex. leak, some times if the ex. is not tight or if it is leaking on the heads into the headers,etc. it will / can make a noise and it will go away when you rev it up.And you say it is running good so it must be a simple thing so I would just keep looking till you find it but check the oil and water at all times till you do to be safe ok.I wonder if it is the throw out bearing ? or pilot bearing ?
Roger
