Replacing 1996 Lumina engine.
What other Chervrolet lattest (e.g 97 and up) engine
can I use as replacement.

       I have a friend with the same name in Fla. a retired police officer / acting chief.
 Well first of all what engine did or do you have in it as if you wish to put a v-8 in it and you had a v-6 you will have a lot of changes to make so  if you have a v-6 now you can put any of the v-6 engines into it from the lowest horse power to the  most , and the same with a v-8. I would stick with what ever you had in it when you got it.Do you wish to make a hot rod out of it, if so than I would go for a 327 / 365 h.p. but the gas now a days is more than crazy its nuts.so I would use a v-6 , even a 4 cyld if it would work.I hope I helped you out , if you wish for more info, just ask ok P.S. the newer the engine the more junk it has on it.
