Chevrolet: 98 Chevy Blazer 4x4 4.3L auto, gas tank sending unit, chevy blazer

Question
Hi Keith,
I wondered about this, so hope you can help. I fixed a multitude of parts on this vehicle...gas tank, sending unit/fuel pump, fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap&rotor, wheel bearing, oil change, everything with a tuneup was done. Unfortunately, it has ap roblem with the electric locks cycling on and off, so I unplugged the fuse, for now. It needed most of these parts. After all this though, it still starts a little long, meaning it takes a few seconds for it to start. It usually would be quicker, but just enough of a lag to make me think. Do you have any ideas cause I am bewildered what could be causing this. I've tried everything it seems like. New battery didnt do it and after the parts, what else is there? Thanks a bunch!

Answer
Hi Mike, your power locks, it is almost impossible for me to diagnose it without me being there, it is probably a broken wire or a sticking solinoid in one of the doors. As for the long starts try the fuel pump relay, it is a common problem. I hope this helps you if you need more info just let me know. Regards, Keith.
