Chevrolet: 89 celebrity transmission problems, nuthing, valve body

i have an 89 celebrity  with 142000 miles on it  i had the tranny rebuilt last labor day because it finally went  at that time it had 130000 miles on it  it has since been back to the shop 6 times for repair work due to it sticking in first gear it will go through all of first gear then go to shift into second but instead it will shift into a "netural" state where i can rev the motor and nuthing happens,  mostly when cold but sometimes out of the blue i can stop and take off from a red  light in the middle of summer after the car has been runnning for a while and it may do it  but in the winter it is much worse the place i had it repaird at says that its fine there is no problem with it and they tell me i am makeing this up  i was wondering what it could be  someone told me a sticking valve body  but i am not shure   thankyou Mike

Hi Mike, well it seems clear that the shop is giving you the runaround. A transmission rebuild should last longer than 12000 miles. Take back to the shop and take the mechanic out for a ride and let him see for himself what happens to it. What size engine is in your car? what type of transmission is in it? Let me know.
