Chevrolet: Air conditioning clutch, compressor clutch, ac circuit

Hi Keith,
My AC clutch cycles on and off every 5 seconds or so.  The AC is cool, but not cold even in max. Unless my guage is bad, the AC system reads full. In fact the system reads higher than normal when checking the low side. Is the compressor bad?

Hi Ray, the mechanic can tell you if the compressor is bad when it is hooked up to the ac machine. If the high and low pressure is normal then the compressor should be fine. It sounds like an electrical problem, there may be a short causing the ac circuit breaker to cycle. Check the low pressure switch, and the compressor clutch.
