      how do i reset the timing chain tensioner?                                                   re: 1999 cavalier Z24 : water pump replacement - then ticking noise w/hot

Hi Bill, you have to remove the tensioner and release the kickback stop. Its not that complicated once you see it off the engine. Also you can buy a manuel at your local parts store, this will show you illistrations on how to reset it. If you need more help let me know. Hope this helps you. Regards, Keith
