Chevrolet: Air bag light Chev Venture, loose plug, computor

I have a 2002 Chev Venture, airbag light is staying on.  No reason for it, no accident (or at least what my wife says - lol).
Any thing I should check/troubleshoot?

did the car get taped or hit in a parking lot ??
It will have to get put on a computor and be checked as you want it in working order. it is prob. allright but it should be checked on a machine to be safe.and I think it can be re-set so the light will go out . It could be a loose plug anything.I dont think it just came on by it self, ask your wife  again if someone hit her ?? lol.. only foolin it should be fine but have it looked at.as you do want it to work when needed right.
