Chevrolet: What is the quickest way to..., speedometer cable, 1978 chevy impala

What is the quickest way to get to the speedometer cable to replace it on a 1978 Chevy Impala?

       well I would go under the car and un-screw the cable
from the tranny and I first would try to pull out the cable from the housing to see if ,and / or where it was broken as some times you can re-place the inner cable and put it back in the old housing. or just un screw it from the tranny and be carefull to do the same from in back of the dashboard.
As there is no quick way there is only the (right) way.
