Chevrolet: motor oil, light oil, safe side

i have motor(10w-30w) in the origonal container. its 10 years old, is it still usable?

  I dont understand what you mean, if you say you have moter oil that is in the cans un opened can you still use it, I will say yes why not if it was never opened it should still be good, if it look funny dont use it, be on the safe side and toss it out.
But if you are asking me you have a motor that is in the box and you wish to use it I will say give it a good look over and lube it with a light oil and try to turn it a few times by hand to get the oil in it good than oil it real good and check that everything looks good still, as it should be fine also.
But yes the oil in the box should be just fine if it was (NEVER) opened to be exposed to the air all of this time.
