Chevrolet: minivan, chevy silverado, chevy venture

Question
hi
thisi is a little out of range of the description of your expertise but since you deal with cars on daily basis i'm sure you will be able to answer my question.
I'm getting ready to purchase a Chevy Venture Minivan - is it better to go by miles or year of production- in other words would i rather buy 2000 with 85k miles on it or '98 with 33k miles for the same price -or is it more complicated than that ?
thanx

Answer
HI
 Martin;
        Yes by all means buy the one with the lower miles as it has less wear and tear on it and if the 98 only has 33k and the 2000 has 85k for the same price I would get the 98 as it has a lot less wear on it so it should last you longer  as it sounds as it has been taken care of and it should even cost less for inshurance as it is 2 yrs. older
so if it were up to me I would get the 98 as it has 52,ooo
LESS MILES on it !.so it was not driven that much and as far as the 2000 with 83,ooo in it,that must have been driven a lot as I have a 99 CHEVY SILVERADO P/U and I drive a lot and I do not have 75,ooo on it as I try to baby it.
as you will get a lot more out of your car if you do so.
so as far as the minivan goes I would get the 98 with the low-low milage on it.
Good Luck 2 U
