I AM LOOKING FOR THE CABLE THAT GOES FROM THE GEAR TO THE TRANSMITION, IT IS A 2.2 MOTOR.

what gear and where on or in the tranny, etc. are you talking of the cable from the shifter or what ?

as far as i know it is between the body and if it is a floor shift it is in the floor shift itself  if on the colum it  will run down the colum and thru the frame or in a housing just trace it from the tranny as you have to see it.or go to the local library and look in a chevt book as it will tell you all even how to do it. as i do mostly 1970 cars down to 55s but i think it is just like the old volkswagons it is under the floor as i think there are two layers. ok i hope i could help you as this is not  in my area but a chevy book will tell you every thing in detail
