I'm doing a research project for school, and I was wondering what's the difference, in terms of body style, between similar Ford and Chevy vehicle. It would be much appreciated if you could help me out, thanks.
Answer -
Not exactly sure what you are looking for. Not much difference in body style be cause they are both pick up trucks. The differences are in the drivetrain, steering ,suspension, etc.
If you can be more specific about what you want, I might be able to help.

I'm just looking for major differences in Ford and Vhevy vehicles. if you could elaborate more on how the dravetrain and steering and such are different, it would be a great help to me. Thanks.

Answer
Sorry it has taken so long for me to get back to you, but I have been thinking about how to answer your question.
All trucks are basically built the same the difference is in how well they are built. Fords policy for a long time has been to build them cheap, sell them cheap, and sell alot of them. Chevy and all of GM builds all of thier vehicles with better quality but higher priced parts, so the trucks cost more when buying, but you will spend more on repairs on a Ford because the parts do not last as long. Also GM builds a higher tech truck and Ford is just a basic truck. For example: GM transmissions are made to shift smooth for driver comfort, but still shift strong and solid to be able to haul loads. Fords don't. Power steering is only needed at low speeds,so GM restricts power steering at higher speeds for more vehicle control. Fords dont. GM computer systems work at a very high speed so that they can control engine, trans, ABS, etc. systems very fast. Fords use a very slow and outdated system. In fact it closely resembles the systems that GM used back in the mid 80's. Fords have a very stiff suspension to be able to carry heavy loads. Chevy has a much softer suspension so that you dont break your spine when you hit a bump, but it can still carry just as heavy of a load. Remember this, Henry Ford was famous for the assembly line, not for building a better product. In short, Chevy trucks are built to last and Ford trucks are built to sell.
Hope this helps you out a little bit and dont even think about asking about Dodge trucks(haha)
