Volvo: 1997 850 Turbo sedan fuel door wont open, tail light, flap

Greetings! I just bought this car 2 days ago and am needing to buy gas. The door will not open.I've tried all of the door locks,etc to no avail.Please help.Thanks,Felix

Hello Felix! The gas door motor is broken. There is a release in the trunk on the passenger side. Open the flap for the tail light and look for a metal ring. It is attached to the fuel door lock. Just pull the ring and the door should open.
