Dodge: 1995 Dodge Dakota pickup - a/c inoperative, fuse block, speed circuits

Question
The a/c on my recently-acquired 1995 Dakota 2.5 is no longer working.  The compressor is not engaging when operating the system per the owner's manual (push a/c button, fan on).  Right now it appears to be an electrical problem.  Replaced a/c compressor relay at underhood p/train control module; all fuses in module and at fuse block are fine.  But no power at the compressor or high/low pressure switches.  Heater blower works fine, as does electric rad fan.  Power at all blower fan speed circuits and interior light circuit at the heater-a/c dash control assembly...but no power on dark blue/orange a/c wire at this dash control assembly.  Chilton wiring diagram not clear, so I'm unsure if power is supposed to go out of or come into that wire.  Chilton indicates this wire/cicuit goes from dash switch to high/low switches and then to the p/train module.  I suspect the a/c switch on the dash assy may have gone bad, but not sure how to check the thing.  Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Summer is upon us, and "2-70" ac (2 windows down at 70 mph) just won't cut it!  Many Thanks!

Answer
Make sure the wires on the compressor are connected really good.Turn on the a.c. and check the wires at the compressor.Trace all the wires around it.Mine did the same thing and found i had a loos wire.Try this before doing anything major. It could possibly be the switch alone.
