Dodge: 95 dodge ram 1500, oil pressure gauge, dodge ram 1500

Question
An auto repair business recently replaced the front end (bent) on my 95 dodge ram 1500 4x4. when driving it home from the shop..the oil pressure gauge bottomed out. I immediatly turned the switch off and coasted ...but when I turned the swictch back on the pressure gauge was back to normal. After finally getting home... I can let the truck sit and idle for some amount of time...sometimes the pressure gauge never moves...sometimes it will drop and then come right back up. I have only driven the truck a couple of times since but it basically does the same thing. Oil pressure gauge is either at 40 or 0. up and down only on occasion...usually running for an amount of time...drops to around 30 and then falls all the way to 0. but it will come back up.  any ideas? Thanks

Answer
Apparently the oil pressure dropping was from the truck being wrecked. The 318 engine did have some problems with the plenum gasket blowing out and would cause the oil pressure to fluctuate.I'd let them check it to make sure.Oil pressure is vital in the engine. You may want to have it towed back to them to check it for you. They should have checked everything before releasing the truck.
