Dodge: 96 dodge neon, dodge neon, fuel filter

I had gotten a fuel filter for my 96 dodge neon and the one they gave me has a place for three hoses but on my car it only has two hoses that could connect to it. I was wondering if you knew what year of neon has only two hose going to fuel filter. even my chilton even says it is suppose to have three hoses. hopefully you can help thanks.

I'm not sure what year has 3 hoses.I would take the old filter to the parts store and let them give you the right one.If you don't have 3 lines on the old one and it was running right i wouldn't worry about the 3rd hose.But look to see if there is a hose that isn't connected.It's probably not possible because you would either be leaking gas or smelling gas.
