Dodge: Spark plug wire routing, ramman, ram van

Question
1996 Dode Ram Van 5.9L Installed new rotor and cap. Thought I wrote down the correct placement of wires. No luck, won't fire. Is there a simple way to figure this out?

If you're facing the front of the truck,
On the left side,the numbers are front to back.2-4-6-8
And on the right side.1-3-5-7
On the distributor cap you'll have 2 screws that hold the ditributor down.The one on the left facing the front of the vehicle.The spark plug right in front of(closest to you)count counter clock wise #1-#2-#7-#5-#6-#3-#4-#8.Route them like this and it will start.If you need a diagram let me know and i'll send you one.RamMan
