Ford: 1994 Ford F150 fast idle, air control valve, vacuum modulator

Question
1994 Ford F150 5L-3spd auto w/overdrive:
Starts stays atfast idle-wont shift gears at slower speeds-must push it to get it to shift-then its a HARD shift-Have checked resistance on idle-air control valve(with ohm meter)values seem to be ok!Not sure if this transmission even has a vacuum modulator! THANKYOU in ADVANCE-

it sounds like it could be a few things, first check to see if you have a cracked/broken/unhooked vacuum line any where on your engine, to check a line i use this trick:
take a can of starting fluid and any place you suspect a leak give it a squirt, if the engine changes pitch for a second then you have a leak.
check that first.
