Ford: 2003 f250 4x4, f250 4x4, transfer case

the 4wd will not engage and was wondering where to start. the 4x4 light on the dash also does not light upon start up.

Hi,  

I have answered this question previously, but if the fuse is good and the light does not come on when it is switched to 4x4, the most common cause is the shift motor on the back of the transfer case, and secondly, the 4x4 module.

Scan the 4x4 module to see if you can communicate with it and if there are any codes, and let me know what you find.
