Ford: ford f150 ecm issue, platinum plugs, moderate load

Question
We have a 08 F150 4.2L manual ,with cruise. at 30k miles it started knocking at 2200 rpms on hills, flats, mostly under light to moderate load. had it to 3 dealerships. they all say its within parameters. no assistance. we tried: all grades of gas, new platinum plugs,. 1 dealer cleaner injectors & rail, new fuel filter. it made noise on the way home. now I'm at 40k miles. changed oil every 3k @ dealership with prem oil. need options we've had to cover all costs, spent too much already. thank you:)

Answer
Hi,

Honestly, I would not accept anything less than perfect.  I would drop the vehicle on their doorstep and tell them that you paid for alot for a problem free truck and "an engine knock that is within parameters, is not acceptable"

Ask them to review TSB 07-16-17 for a spark knock under light and mid load, and also ask them to reflah the ECM to see if something is amiss there.

Ask them if they bought a new vehicle and it developed a knock, wouldn't they expect no less?
